    The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique ride and hiking experience which is loved by everyone.

    The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel to be constructed in Israel and was inaugurated as a part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around Jerusalem, the capital city.

    The tunnel is located along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza route. The southern entrance is located in Refaim Park, below Ein Laban and its northern entrance is located in Nahal Ein Kerem, about one kilometer away close to the Kerem junction.

    The 2.1-kilometer long tunnel was inaugurated on Thursday, by Jerusalem and heritage minister Ze’ev Elkin as well as Mayor Moshe Lion. Avi Baleshnikov of Gihon the chairman of Gihon and a plethora of other cyclists also attended.

    The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation spots which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo, aquarium and the along with the historic natural springs in Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
