NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for tourist arrivals in Israel from the United States in July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. נווה פריצקי That’s a 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. “The United States is our most popular destination for tourism to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entries every month. We’re so happy to see an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an increase in the coming years and months to follow.”
Canada is set to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals, with 7,200 tourists visiting Israel in the month of July 2022 and 6,600 in August.
“It is thrilling to see how the Canadian tourism to Israel is growing,” said Gal Hana, Consul and Director for Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. “We aren’t far off our record 2019, and we anticipate that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians feel more confident about traveling across the globe.”
Israel received more than 4.6 million visitors in the year 2019. 969,600 were from the United States. The country’s official reopening to all travelers in May saw more than 600,000.
