Doooog Will Hunt! Pens Call Up Tangradi…

on

The Penguins latest rash of injuries has prompted them to call up the Big Dog, Eric Tangradi. He will join Dustin Jeffrey, who has made what seems like 150 trips between Pittsburgh and Wilkes Barre-Scranton this season.

Tangradi leads the Baby Penguins in goals with 18 and ranks fourth in points with 32 through 42 games this season. This is his second taste of the NHL this season after spending the first nine games of the season in Pittsburgh.

Tangradi posted 3-points (1G-2A) while playing with the Penguins earlier this season. Ironically his goal came against the New York Islanders, tonight’s opponent. Hopefully that bodes well for his performance this evening.

The Penguins did not have a morning skate today, so it is not certain with whom the Big Dog will play… we will keep you posted…

Had to go with “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver” due to the “Doooog will hunt!” line…
