GM’s Inbox with onesmugpug and Doug McKenzie

on

We have a new addition to the site for you all to enjoy. “Doug Mckenzie” from Elsinore All Stars was recruited by our own Todd Wyant to participant in a series of reindeer games that he has been wanting to put together. The two seem to have a similar style and attitude and if “Doug McKenzie’s” work over at Elsinore All Stars is any indication, he and the pugger are going to provide some fine entertainment.

There first project was hacking into some National Hockey League general manager’s email accounts (creating some could-a, would-a, should-a conversations between these guys that probably wouldn’t even happen in real life…at least I think so) and sharing some of the exchanges found (created by that zany duo) there-in.

Here is the first exchange between the Penguins own Ray Shero and the Capitals George McPhee.**

Ray,

What’s it going to cost for Marc-Andre Fleury?

Ray,

I still haven’t heard back from you.  Marc-Andre Fleury, yes or no?

George,

Sorry, AOL email addresses get caught in my spam filter.

How much for Marc-Andre Fleury?  More than you can afford.

Ray,

Seriously, let’s talk turkey here.  How does Mike Green grab you?

George,

I’d have a harder time defending that move than Mike Green had defending Dominic Moore.  You’ll have to do better than that.

Ray,

What about Michal Neuvirth?  He’s done well this year.  Let’s be reasonable and work something out.

George,

You’re about a month too late on this.  The fans really wanted Marc-Andre gone about 5-6 weeks ago, and I may have thought about a move then.  Now?  Sorry, buddy.

Ray,

We’ve got to work something out.  I might get fired if Ted finds out I contacted you – especially if I don’t get anything out of it.

What about Ovechkin?  Our fans don’t value assists, so I’m willing to talk.  He’s got plenty of passion!  Look, he’s a brawler now, just like Sid.  Your fans like that, right?  Right?

George,

I’m blocking your email address, but before I do, let me offer you some advice: Don’t make moves out of desperation and never let your fans make decisions for you…they’re not as smart as they think they are.

Ray
