I don’t know about you guys, but I am pretty excited about the upcoming 24/7 event on HBO featuring the Penguins and Capitals as they run up to the 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic. In a way you hate to have the distraction of that kind of show around the team during the entire first half of the season, but on the other hand we will be given some amazing access — even more so that we get on a night to night basis covering games etc.
The league has given HBO access to any and everything and from the looks of the commercials that they have been airing, they have taken advantage of that access, which should make for a great show.
Here are the details on the preview:
HBO Sports will present “Preview to 24/7 Penguins/Capitals: Road to the NHL Winter Classic,” a 12-minute preview of the upcoming NHL reality series featuring the spirited rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguin sand the Washington Capitals, which is set to air exclusively on HBO. Debuting this Saturday, Nov. 20 at 12:15 a.m. ET/9:15 p.m. PT (or immediately following the conclusion of the live World Championship Boxing telecast from Atlantic City), the special will serve as a primer to the acclaimed series for new viewers as well an introduction of the players and coaches from the Penguins and Capitals, who will appear on the all-access series.
The preview will air a number times so there should be no problem in catching it.
