The Penguins can breathe a collective sigh of relief. They dodged one bullet when Sidney Crosby was not injured in an awkward fall with the Lightning’s Steve Downie and might have dodged another with Evgeni Malkin.
The Penguins can breathe a collective sigh of relief. They dodged one bullet when Sidney Crosby was not injured in an awkward fall with the Lightning’s Steve Downie and might have dodged another with Evgeni Malkin.
Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting that x-rays on the star center’s foot have shown no fractures, though his status for this week is unknown. Head coach Dan Bylsma had previously said that he didn’t have a feel for the severity of the injury.
Malkin was injured when he was struck by a Kris Letang shot yesterday afternoon.
