Penguins Open Prospect Camp on September 10th…
We are just under three weeks away from the start of NHL training camps and while many players will utilize those camps to jockey for positions in and around their respective organizations, some will kick off that competition much sooner in prospect camps.
We are just under three weeks away from the start of NHL training camps and while many players will utilize those camps to jockey for positions in and around their respective organizations, some will kick off that competition much sooner during prospect camps.
The Penguins prospect camp will run from September 10th through the 14th in London, Ontario. The Penguins’ prospects will compete in a Rookie Tournament at the John Labatt Centre against prospects from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks.
Many of the best and brightest youngsters in the Penguins’ organization will arrive in Pittsburgh on Friday, September 10th for medical testing before the group departs for London.
In attendance for the prospect extravaganza are as follows:
Forwards: Tyler Brown, Joey Haddad, Dustin Jeffrey, Tom Kuehnhacki, Taylor Peters, Nick Peterson, Casey Pierro-Zabotel, Ryan Schnell, Zach Sill, Alex Smigelski, Eric Tangradi, Kevin Veilleux, Geoff Walker
Defensemen: Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Alex Grant, Reid McNeill, Joe Rogalski, Carl Sneep, Brian Strait
Goaltenders: Patrick Killeen, Mattias Modig, Brad Thiessen
Penguins veterans will report for the team’s full training camp on September 17th. Details will follow as the date gets closer…
