Big Screen Rides Again! Other Favorites Back as Well…
The Penguins made it official this morning, they are bringing all of the popular outdoor activities that you have grown to love over the past two years. First of all, the 12×16 foot Trib Tron will be back on the lawn in front of gate three for your viewing pleasure.
The Penguins made it official this morning, they are bringing all of the popular outdoor activities that you have grown to love over the past two years. First of all, the 12×16 foot Trib Tron will be back on the lawn in front of gate three for your viewing pleasure.
The team will also be again be holding the “tailgate on the terrace” tailgate parties. You must have a game ticket to that evening’s game to attain access to the event. Aramark will provide a variety of concessions and their will be free entertainment for those who attend.
The team is also calling for “white outs” during the first two home playoff games and will provide white t-shirts sponsored by Bowser and white rally towels sponsored by 84 Lumber and Nemicolin.

PENGUINS ANNOUNCE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND IN-ARENA PROMOTIONS FOR ROUND 1 OF THE STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS
Big Screen, Tailgate on the Terrace & Whiteouts Planned
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today the return of several fan favorite promotions and activities planned for the first round of the 2010 Penguins playoff series, presented by Trib Total Media – the big screen, “Tailgate on the Terrace,” and whiteouts.
The outdoor TV screen that became a post-season icon over the past two years will show all home and away playoff games. All games will be televised locally by FSN Pittsburgh.
The 12×16 LED screen, courtesy of Consol Energy and Trib Total Media, will be set up in front of the Gate 3 entrance at Mellon Arena. Fans without tickets are encouraged to watch the games on the big screen with other spectators. For safety reasons, grills and alcohol will be prohibited.
Also, all fans with tickets to home playoff games are invited to visit the “Tailgate on the Terrace” presented by Trib Total Media. Admission to the open-air concession area located above Gate 3 is free, however, patrons must have tickets to that evening’s game to enter. Aramark will sell a variety of food and beverages and free entertainment will be provided.
Fans can have their tickets scanned and enter the terrace beginning at 5:00 pm. The entrance will be located near the Will Call windows at Gate 1. The tailgate is scheduled to conclude when the game begins at 7:00 pm. Fans may enter Mellon Arena from the terrace beginning at 6:00 pm when gates open to the general public. In the event of inclement weather, the tailgate area will be closed.
In addition, the Penguins are calling for “whiteouts” for the first two home playoff games. Each fan attending the first home playoff game will receive a white t-shirt courtesy of Bowser and a white rally towel compliments of 84 Lumber and Nemacolin. Fans attending the second home playoff game will receive a white t-shirt courtesy of StarKist and a white rally towel compliments of Bowser.
