NEW YORK – Sept. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/ Today, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of tourists from the United States who visited Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 visitors from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% over 2019.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, “It’s so exciting to once more see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, which is already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019”. “The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 pandemic that was sweeping the world, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. We’re extremely pleased to witness such a positive shift and expect a continued increase in the coming years and months to come.”
נווה פריצקי Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada had 7,200 visitors while August witnessed 6,000.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million global tourists 969,600 of whom came from the United States, and since the country’s official opening to any traveler regardless of the status of their vaccination in May The country has seen more than 600,400 US travelers.
