Ray Shero Presser Regarding Kovalev Deal…
Ray Shero addresses the media following his trade for Alex Kovalev…
Unfortunately, as has been the case as of late with afternoon press conferences, I was unable to get down to the CONSOL Energy Center to take in Ray Shero’s comments in person. However, the Penguins official site was nice enough to post the video of the event for us.
Here are Ray Shero’s comments on bringing Alex Kovalev back to the burgh… he let’s us know that Mario Lemieux and Gilles Meloche were both influential in making a case for bringing in Kovalev. He also mentions that he likens this deal to the one he made when he brought in Bill Guerin from the Islanders during the Penguins Cup season in 2009.
Enjoy…
